As it’s a bank holiday weekend, and the weather was nice, I decided we should go out somewhere for the day. We ended up in Llangollen, and went for a walk.

It seems to be a week for bad news. First of all I found out that my favorite site dGeek had been hacked, and then I heard that Stargate Atlantis was going to be canceled at the end of season 5.

Apparently the ratings are still good, but the studio want to go out while they are still on top so they can switch to making movies.

Now the squirrels are not at all happy of the idea that there will be no more SGA, and especially Rodney McKay on our TV screens, so they are getting together and coming up with ideas to try and get the network to change their minds.

Jayne sent me an email earlier, the gist of which was basically, get in touch, people think I murdered you and hid the body LOL.

So where was I?

Well I have been away for a family holiday in Cirencester, with my mum and dad, my son and my cousin. My mum chose the location, so unfortunately that meant completely no computer access for a whole week! To be honest I didn’t miss it as much as I thought I would. I think that my brain needed a seriously long break from the writing,  and I had hit some writers block.

I can’t remember the last time I did so much walking. We have been all over including Legoland and Windsor Castle. We went there for the  jousting, archery, falconry etc, and not at all because that’s where David got married to Jane. I managed to forget my camera, but my son took loads of pics his new phone that I gave him for his birthday. It was very restful, and the cottage was nice, although mum didn’t think much of the kitchen.

When I came back I was a bit surprised and upset to find that my favorite site dGeek was down. This is supposed to be a PG certificate site, so I can’t tell you what I actually thought. Poor David, it must have been terrible for him. Last I heard, the site was still down, and the squirrels have set up a board of their own as a temporary home.

I was in a meeting today and one of the managers was absent. Apparently he has taken a day off because he is jet lagged after a trip to the USA. Anyway I automatically found myself thinking “I know how that feels!” and did a double take, because until I visited shore leave last month I had no idea what jet lag really feels like!

Anyway I need to get back into the writing, and finish all the fics I started. Sorry to keep you all waiting.
